Called Central Air with a heat pump issue and within 2 hours someone was able to be here to take a look. Chris was professional, knowledgeable and kind. It was a tricky fix, but Chris was able to get the part and fixed it. It wasn’t cheap, but he explained everything along the way and I’m very appreciative of his transparency and patience. Highly recommend!

We recently moved to Portland and needed to have maintenance done on our furnace and AC unit. They had been originally installed by Central Air so I called to make an appointment. Jody at the office was great and arranged for John Van Buskirk to come out within two days of my calling. John was great: friendly, professional, courteous, and willing to answer my incessant questions. He went over and above. I could not have asked for a more satisfying experience.As he was leaving, I asked about our tankless hot water unit; he explained a few things about it and suggested I call Jody and schedule a plumber to come out to deal with some issues identified by our home inspectors. The very next day, Cody Vance showed up at our house. He explained very clearly what was causing the problem, fixed everything, and gave me very clear information on proper homeowner maintenance of the unit. Like John, he was fantastic: friendly, professional, courteous, and helpful.I am very pleased with Central Air and in particular with Jody, John, and Cody. Highly recommended.

Cody came to our rescue when we had no hot water in the middle of January. He was on time, knowledgeable, and better explained required maintenance for the specific unit we had. He diagnosed the issue quickly and had hot water running in no time, ensuring he answered any questions. He went above and beyond despite some of the *unique* choices made by the builders when installing the unit. My partner was previously in property management and used this vendor specifically for all heating/cooling as well as plumbing issues. You are in good hands with any of these techs! It’s a joy to have them in my home as they are highly respectful of my time and investment. Further, that Central Air scheduling uses email and text messaging to confirm appointments. It’s efficient and effective. Technicians are prompt, and trackable by GPS en route to the service appointment. Commutation is outstanding.If you are reading this looking for confirmation of why to choose Central Air Heating and Cooling, don’t hesitate to engage. Called late Tuesday afternoon about our malfunctioning gas fireplace/heater. We’re extremely pleased with the prompt and professional service from Central Air Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Company. Our water heater had been inconsistent for a few days, and Cody Vance arrived quickly (same day) to inspect and diagnose the issue. He was highly efficient and respectful and took the time to explain multiple options for resolving the problem. Cody thoroughly cleaned and flushed the system, carefully inspected the valves and connections, and provided helpful recommendations. We’re very satisfied with the quality of service and highly recommend this company to anyone experiencing similar issues.

Our heat pump had stopped working. Rich came out the same day I called, got our gas heat going quickly, and got the heat pump working again shortly after that. He had suggestions for preventing the problem in the future which made sense.

Just had my inspection, with Jake, he laid out what I need to do next and was very through on explaining the new maintenance contract and discounts that come with that. Also letting me know of some issues that need to be addressed.

I want to have my furnace last my lifetime. It was new in 2018, but apparently haws become dirty. Jake was informative and shared his expertise with me.

Excellent experience. Tony came out quickly on a Saturday after our furnace had been out a few hours during the night. He ordered a replacement part for us right away and didn't try to upsell us on anything. Pricing was excellent and we signed up for the annual maintenance, which includes 2 yearly cleanings and other discounts. Very happy. Wonderful customer service from the office staff as well.

Brett was great! He was friendly and explained what he found and how he could fix it for us! He found our installer for our furnace didn’t do it properly and a small leak had started. He fixed it (at no charge!) and made sure to recommend a surge protector as well. We love Heating and Cooling! They are amazing!

The Technician Seth did a great job!

I was having major drainage problems starting on Friday. Cody came out Friday night to get us back up and running. We had a massive root problem that needed immediate repair and he got it done right away. I love that I can use Central for not just heating and cooling but for Plumbing too!

Woke up on Friday to my gas furnace not heating up, very indecisive i started searching online for HVAC companies as i have had very poor experiences with other ones😅, and my first option was this one Central Air Heating, i called and the very nice lady at the office helped me and immediately took matters on my issue, and put me on the board , then later i get a phone from another lady saying that they had me on schedule for a visit! I was so amazed on how quick that was 🥹, the technician Rich showed up on time, he is very knowledgable and took the time to explain to me about my furnace , he checked it, inspected it and fixed it! Technician Seth Martins responded to a call re our thermostat which malfunctioned causing our furnace inoperable. Seth diagnosed the problem quickly explaining the cause in detail and, in an understandable manner, the required solution. Seth was polite, informative and offered valuable advice on how to maintain our system between scheduled maintenance calls. Truly, one of our better experience with a maintenance call and Central Air would be prudent to place Seth in the "keeper" category.

We've used Central Air twice this year and the service, from the office to our on site technician, was exceptional both times.Our first appointment was during this summer's major heat wave. We called the office on a Saturday and effortlessly got scheduled for an AC maintenance service, and diagnostic on our condensate pump. The maintenance service was detailed and thorough and Brett diagnosed the problem with our pump, gave me reasonable options for repair or replacement, and got the pump replaced for a fair price.Our second appointment was for our fall furnace maintenance. Brett was again our tech, and he performed our service with the same detail and care as the first time. Our house is new to us so we had a few questions about our system. Brett was patient and thorough in answering all of them.These guys are a 1st class outfit. I highly recommend them!

In addition to the below, just adding that the monthly service has been worth every penny. Just had Michael out to do the annual furnace check - thorough and professional. Ready for winter.Central Air had been out for about a week. I was waiting for my home warranty to send someone but it was taking too long. As such, cut my losses and contacted Central Air - best decision I made. Customer Service was a breeze (pun intended), scheduling could not have been faster, and John, the tech who came to help, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable - what more can you ask for?? Price was also more than fair.My only regret was not calling sooner.I will be signing up for their membership services as well.

Don was on time, polite and knowledgeable. Very nice to work with. He noticed our carbon monoxide detection device was not located where it should be for maximum protection and suggested a different location and type of device that would be more effective. Very happy with the service.
